Neglect

This blog is suffering from a severe case of neglect right now. Mostly, all I want to do here is complain, but I've run out of creative ways of doing it. I don't really want to be repeating myself after all.

Of course, the reason why I want to complain, and the reason why I don't have any creative juices left is that my Shadows have continued unabated now for some four months. These headaches are tiring, wearing, and at this point supremely boring.

When I have some energy and creativity, I'll post some more.

Spirit of Service

Qwest's motto is "That's our spirit of service in action." When they say this in their commercials, does anyone else hear "That's our spirit of service: inaction."?

April 1st

Arrgh! It's April Fools Day. Which means that it is impossible to surf the net without getting inundated with ridiculous news stories and other pranks. Ah well.

I'd post (an idea for) my own april fools fake news item, but it is in poor taste, even for april fools. With a modicum of creativity, you might find it.

Comment Policy

I've never gotten around to spelling out my comment/trackback policy, so here it is:

I reserve the right to delete or modify a comment for any reason. The only reason that I've exercised this option so far has been to delete comment spam. That is likely to continue.

I have recently deleted all trackbacks due to a flood of trackback spam (it was easier to delete all of them than sort through them to find the 3 or so legitimate trackbacks which have been made on this site during its lifetime). In the future, I anticipate only needing to delete trackback spam.

In order to keep comment spam down to manageble levels, I close comments after about three weeks. So basically, if you want to comment on a post, you have about until it scrolls off the front page. I had been leaving trackbacks open indefinitely, but that has recently been getting lots of spam too, so I'm now closing them after three weeks as well.

Hacked

The server which hosts this site got hacked last week. The hacker replaced every page with this. Sorry if you came here and only saw that. Everything should be all better now.

Merry Christmas!

God handed over his Son to us, his enemies, so that we could kill him. All in order that we, his enemies, could have long life, peace and harmony.

That's pretty messed up, but I can't say that I'm not grateful.

Managing Expectations

OK. That's all that I wrote while I was in Vermont. Spark and family obligations kept me too busy to write any more than that.

Just wanted to say that I'll be posting even less than my already sporadic self until the election is over. What time I have for blogging will mostly be used to write political posts on a different site. So don't expect much from me here in the next few weeks.

Vacation

We're off to CA for a few days. Posting may be light as internet access is iffy at my in-law's place.

Mom

Tree's mom is here on a surprise visit. She arrived at 6:00 this evening, just in time to help celebrate Tree's birthday. (Peppy will drive himself and mom back home on Sunday.) Yay for Mom and extra celebrants for Tree's birthday!

Advil Abuse

I'm starting to get worried that I take Advil the way people drink coffee: as a quick way to get a pick-me-up.

Complainy

Boy, I certainly have been complainy on my blog recently. Well, I need to vent somewhere, and I'd rather not super-annoy everyone who sees me face-to-face, so you poor readers get the brunt of it. Sorry.

I'll try to post some non-complainy things next.

Wrong address. Sorry

Hmmmm...I've just been notified that my return address on the emails I've been sending from this account have been completely wrong. I must have misconfigured my email client at some point. I apologize if you sent any mail to the wrong address and it got bounced back to you. Please use wink [a-t] site-unseen [d-o-t] net as my email address. Thanks.

Too much 24

Is it a sign that I've watched too much 24 when I see a utility van pull up on the other side of the street and I expect the guy who hops out to be brandishing an automatic weapon and/or a silenced pistol?

Yes. Yes it is.

I'll post my response to Syndrome's question about the Rapture in the near future. Meanwhile, if anyone has any more questions to ask me about what I believe, ask away.
