Opera
It's official. Opera really is the "Fastest Browser* in the World" (for most purposes).
* Full featured browsers that is.

What is your opinion of FireFox? Quite a few co-workers of mine actually like it. I tend to use IE only because a lot of company resources (as well as third-party, external resources) don't run correctly without IE.

Firefox is great. It has has fewer rendering bugs than Opera. And it has far greater plugin support. And Opera's Javascript/DOM is still a little messed up.
However, I still like Opera better. It is geared specifically to the way I browse, so my browsing is much more efficient on Opera than any other browser.
But for most people, Firefox would be the best choice. Far better than IE at any rate. Firefox's rendering and standards support far exceeds IE, and the security for Firefox (and Opera) is miles ahead of IE. Plus they are faster. And more customizable. And have smaller footprints. Pretty much, pick a metric and Firefox (and/or Opera) beats IE.
On my machine, I have 3 versions of IE, 2 versions of Moz/Fox and 2 versions of Opera. Soon I'll be adding one more each of Fox and Opera. The IE alternatives are Sooooo much better.
