Going bald?

Lately, every time I take a shower, enough hair falls out that I totally clog the drain. This was not the case, say, two months ago. This worries me. Things got slightly better after I got a haircut, but then I realized that it was just because the volume of hair that fell out went down, but the number of hairs that fell out seemed to stay the same. If this keeps up for a year or so, I'll be bald. Sigh.

Look at the bright side - if you go bald you save time having to wash, dry, comb, and style your hair! ;)

I've been trying to get hubby to cut his hair for months now for precisely this reason. I'm tired of the hair balls all over the place and all of that long hair just makes the thinning spot more obvious. May be you could talk to him for me?

I've looked at high school pictures and seen that my hairline is also what it used to be, even though it appears high when my hair's tied back. I don't really have a thinning spot either, as far as I can tell, but just the way I wear my hair pulling my hair apart at the back. The hair falling out just looks like it's more because it's really long. It's nearing my waist now, so even a few strands will seem like a clump when it's all together. I can't cut it yet, because I need to make sure I've beaten the length Nathan had. I'm not sure I have yet.

He is so in denial.

Jeremy, I'm gonna have to agree with your wife...it's time to cut your hair. If you are concerned about beating your brother's record, then measure your hair every day and cut it 20 minutes after you tie your brother's length (those 20 minutes allow your hair to grow a tad so that you can claim that your hair was longer when cut, not merely the same length when cut). Whatever the case, you need to cut it soon. ;)

Try adding or increasing the olive oil in your diet. Low fat in the diet spells disaster for hair and makes it fall out.

Could it be that last coloring/bleaching you did a few months ago? Hmmm... ;)

wink says:

I guess it could be, but it never happened any of the other times I bleached my hair. Plus, it didn't start falling out until about 2 months after I bleached it. That's a pretty long delayed reaction.

Whatever is causing it, I hope I find out soon. I'm still losing hair by the drainful. Sigh.
